Table Arrangement

The theme of our monthly meeting at the Nambour Floral Art Club was table decoration. As you can clearly see in these examples, there is a distinct difference between floral art and ikebana. Both are beautiful art forms; however, floral art tends to fill the entire space, leaving little room for openness or individual expression.

Ikebana, on the other hand, embraces space. It allows the water to remain visible and creates room around, within, and even beneath the arrangement.

I always enjoy discovering the differences between these two beautiful art forms.
