Here inspired by nature
/Twelve very different artists have come together for a unique exhibition at the Maroochy Botanical Garden, each responding to the beauty and spirit of this special place in their own way.
The exhibition brings together an intriguing variety of artistic expressions — paintings, photography, sculpture, pottery, textiles, artist books and a video installation — alongside the only Ikebana arrangement in the exhibition.
What makes the exhibition particularly special is the inclusion of two very young artists, aged eleven and fifteen. Their enthusiasm, and joy in creating art are wonderful to see.
The exhibition has received wonderful support and has attracted many visitors. The Friends of the Botanical Garden are there the entire time to welcome visitors, answer questions and help create a warm and inviting atmosphere. For the first week, I created an Ikebana arrangement using Fraser Island creeper. In the second week, I did a new arrangement with different palm leaves and orchids.
